Outdoor Dining at Friday Harbor House

The Restaurant at Friday Harbor House features 3,000 square feet of outdoor dining space including a new patio with expansive decks on both sides, as well as a lush lawn with three firepits. Designed by RaderTangen Architects to take full advantage of the restaurant’s stunning panoramic views of the San Juan Channel, the outdoor dining space provides a distinctive setting for guests to enjoy the restaurant’s popular island-inspired cuisine.

As a nod to the marina below, the decks have been named using ship terminology. The Portside Deck is located to the left and the Starboard Deck to the right of a center patio which has been named The Bridge.  The Portside Deck is available to reserve for private events such as company retreats or social gatherings for up to 30 people.  The Starboard Deck, to the right of the patio, offers abundant seating for up to 48 people and features TUUCI umbrellas with heaters, making the area inviting even when the weather gets cool.  Both decks have glass railing systems that maximize views of Friday Harbor.  The Bridge offers comfortable lounge seating, as well as two long, rectangular firepits and cocktail service.  Guests can enjoy small plates and drinks while relaxing on the lawn around the firepits.
